I graduated from Borah High School in Boise, Idaho in 1989. I attended Boise State University and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. From there I went to Methodist Theological School in Ohio where I earned my Master of Divinity and Master of Art in Christian Education with a specialization in Youth Ministry. During seminary, I served as the student associate pastor at Marysville United Church of Christ in Marysville, Ohio. After I graduated, I began serving United Methodist Churches in Oregon and Idaho. I served congregations in New Meadows, Idaho, Emmett and Sweet, Idaho, Caldwell, Idaho, Monroe, Oregon, Lebanon, Oregon and Sherwood, Oregon. While serving as pastor to these congregations, I completed my Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University (2010). My dissertation and professional project was keeping young clergy in parish ministry. After 15 years in parish ministry, I made the difficult decision to leave parish ministry (the irony of my dissertation and my decision to leave parish ministry is not lost on me), and The United Methodist Church and have embarked on a new journey….coffee roaster!
On October 20, 2013 I was ordained priest, in Apostolic Succession in the Old Catholic Tradition. I am now a priest and bishop (2018) in the Community of Saint George the Young Rite Liberal Catholic church, an Old Catholic denomination. I have two daughters who live in Colorado.
